These hand built elephants are made in a range of sizes, from approximately 10cm to 40 cm tall and are finished in either cobalt blue, manganese, or a matt black oxide to capture the texture of the clay. Once created, each elephant is given a name to reflect his or her unique personality. Elephants can be purchased with or without its own pet mouse, decorated with either a velvet underglaze or a lustre. Elephants are fired to earthenware to preserve the colour of the oxides.
